The end

We were definitely in slow motion (at times no motion) today. We walked through the market one last time and with walking comes the reward of gelato. Pesca (peach) for me and crema for Ken. This is my new favorite fruit flavor. The rest of the afternoon was spent here there and everywhere with a cappuccino break. Just sitting and watching people walking, talking, biking, and riding their vespas was all that we had energy for. Just sitting with incredible Florence as our back drop was a perfect way for us tired travelers to spend our last day in Florence. As we finished our cappuccini, it began to rain. It felt like Florence was telling us it was time to go home. Tonight we are going to Semidi Vino for dinner; we were told to try the gnudi. Tomorrow we take a shuttle to Pisa and fly out of there to London. After spending the night at Heathrow airport, we fly home.

As we end this journey, all I can say is that we feel so lucky to have had this chance to have seen and done all that we have in the last month. More than that though, we feel even luckier to have all of you to come home to. So, thanks for playing "blog" with us, and see you soon.
